The Falling Walls Breakthroughs of the Year, a competition that brings together leading academics and world-class academic institutions from around the world to recognize the most recent breakthroughs in science and society in ten categories, including Digital Education. Our Executive Vice President and Co-COO, Wada, was elected as a first Japanese jury to take part in the event.

About Falling Walls

Since its first annual meeting in 2009, the Falling Walls Conference continuously developed into a world forum for science.

With delighting Helga Nowotny, the former President of the European Research Council (ERC) as the Chair of the Juries, Falling Walls gathers some of the most important researchers and thinkers to discuss with world leaders in science, politics, business and the media, answering the core question of the Falling Walls Conference: “Which are the next walls to fall in science and society?“ Wada has been selected as a jury in the field of Digital Education.

In 2020, the conference will be held remote and world leaders will discuss the post-corona agendas of the various fields.
