About Double Yard
Double Yard, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Edulab, Inc., a public company in Japan whose primary
business is in Education.
Double Yard, located in Boston, MA, was a spin off from Edulab in 2018, and now has offices in Boston
(MA), Tokyo, Dublin (Ireland), and Pune (India).
DEEP READ is EduLab’s proprietary Al-based Character Recognition Technology, developed from the analysis
of data from fields including Finance, Insurance, BPO, Education, and Government. As of November 2019,
DEEP READ provides a world-class Character Recognition accuracy of over 9S%, even for handwritten texts
and low resolution documents.

Andrew McLeod
Andrew received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Cambridge. He also received a Doctorate in Astrophysical Fluid Dynamics (Applied Mathematics) at Newcastle University. Andrew came to Japan as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Space Weather Division of the Communications Research Laboratory of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications (currently the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology). He is currently the CTO of DoubleYard, Inc. and runs AI-related R&D activities as a Vice President of EduLab, Inc.

Tatsuya Yasunaga
Tatsuya was born in Shanghai and received his Master’s degree in Information and Communication
Engineering from the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Engineering.
While at the university, he was a founder of and led Product Development at Hotto Link Inc. After
graduating, he joined SAP Japan Co., Ltd. After gaining experience with large-scale system development
in Japan, Germany, and the United States, he joined iDeep Solutions Corporation to lead R&D on
large-scale teleconferencing systems. A collaborator with Edutech Lab AP Private Limited, he is
currently managing the Al business as a Senior Vice President of EduLab, Inc.
